MLB news: Brian McCann injures oblique
Did the Atlanta Braves’ playoff push just suffer a critical blow? All-Star catcher Brian McCann left last night’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates with an oblique injury.
He grabbed himself in pain while trying to throw out Neil Walker, who was stealing second base in the 10th inning.
He was replaced by David Ross.
The Braves have placed him on the 15-day DL.
He’s batting .305 with 18 homers and 55 RBI this year.
